My Office/Beauty Room Update

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since the last update on my new office so I thought I’d share my progress. I feel like I have all the larger pieces that I need for this room (with the exception of one but we will get into that later) so it’s time to put the finishing touches. Wallpaper!

I have a specific print in mind and I am currently waiting to see if it’s available, I have to wait until monday and the anticipation is killing me! I posted a sneak peek on my Instagram.

Wallpaper is pretty permanent and unlike paint, it can’t be patched up to hide old nail holes once they’ve been made so I really wanted to take my time and make sure I had all the pieces of furniture in their permanent spots.

PBTeen has a really neat application where you can design your room, it allows you to be accurate from the size of the room down to the size of the furniture. So this is what my design looks like.

I’m getting rid of the old Malm and replacing that with a PeekABoo Console table from CB2. This will allow for an additional workspace while giving the illusion of an open room. Oh and since my chair has wheels on it, I can roll on over to that side of the room so no extra chair is needed 😀 but I will probably find some furry stools to place underneath it just for kicks.

You can see in the first photo that I have already started putting together the little lounge corner, the only thing missing is Nala taking a nap but thats because she was too busy trying to figure out why I was moving everything around.

Here is a photo form last year that will give you an idea of what the desk will look like with the 2 ikea lack shelves and mirror behind it. The only difference is that I now have a clear chair and it will be centered in the entire room with wallpaper behind it. Don’t mind the absolute disaster in the photo, I think I was re organizing.

I’m so excited to be this close to finishing! The master bedroom is also getting a fresh dose of wallpaper, I will update you on that soon!
