I have been eagerly awaiting the beginning of Fall. Not only does it mark the beginning of the festivities and holidays (and my birthday 😉 but it also means darker hues, boots, and my Burberry handbag. I know it’s not officially Fall yet but since Starbucks released their Fall signature drink; Pumpkin Spice Latte…it is in my mind.
New season means new lippies also, right? I knew you guys would agree with me! I decided to splurge a little this time and picked up 2 Tom Ford lipsticks. I had been eyeballing this line of lippies for some time now and decided to head over to Saks to see what they carried. I had an idea of the colors that I wanted (Pink Adobe or Indian Rose) but when I got there Crimson Noir was calling my name, I just had to try it on and it was GORGEOUS. I hear that’s called Love at first sight.
They didn’t carry Pink Adobe so I was going to get Indian Rose but then I spotted Casablanca and it just screamed Fall Pink. It also suited my olive/tan skin tone a lot better than Indian Rose did.
So that’s how I ended up with these babies
The last lipstick I tried on at the store was Casablanca and I left it on my lips while I continued to shop. The formula is extremely moisturizing, definitely on par with my beloved YSL Rouge Volupte, maybe slightly better…Gaaaaspp* Yes I said it!
To my surprise and delight the formula is also a lot longer lasting than the YSL. I had forgotten the lipstick was still on my lips and when I got home, 4 hours later, I glanced in the mirror and noticed that Casablanca was still visible.

The packaging is so luxurious and I just love the way it feels in my hands when I’m applying it.

These lipsticks are definitely a splurge but I think I’m hooked. They retail for $49 and you can find them at most high end department stores including: Saks, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus.
You can probably find similar colors in less expensive line but the formula is unlike anything that I have ever tried. If you find yourself near a Tom Ford counter, you must try it for yourself.
